MANNA MINISTRIES

"So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord." Deuteronomy 8:3

 

We’ve all had times in our lives when we wondered just HOW we were going to pay “the bills” and put food on the table, but God is faithful!  With unemployment at an all time high, this  is becoming more and more prevalent, not only in our church, but in our surrounding community.

 

Manna Ministries began in 2007 and is continually expanding. To date we have fed over 20 families in our church and the surrounding area. Presently our church family, who bring in food donations weekly, solely supports us.

 

Our ministry is not only to give families food, but also to give them hope. Every can or food package that leaves our storage area has a label bearing the church name and contact information and a word of scripture, specifically the words of Christ, because we know that "man does not live by bread alone."

 

Manna Ministries also offers the Angelfood Ministries food assistance program through our host church, House of Restoration. Angelfood Ministries is a non-profit organization that provides a monthly menu of meat, produce, and both frozen and canned vegetables, as well as shelf stable milk and eggs for the low price of $30.00. The menu changes monthly (you can see the menu by clicking on the link attached to our web page) and make sure you check out the monthly specials.  Orders are taken on the second Saturday of the month, and delivered on the last Saturday of the month. (Order and delivery dates are subject to change around the holiday season).
